What you need to know 

From booking, your arrival, stay and departure - here's all the details you'll need ....
  


What to expect from your Waters' Retreat

  • The kitchen has a full size cooker, oven and grill, fridge, microwave, crockery and utensils. 
  • Many owners also provide washing up liquid as well as tea, coffee and juice for your arrival.
  • For your convenience many of our owners provide complimentary items such as toiletries including shampoo, body wash and conditioner, hand soap, toilet roll (one per bathroom), 
  • Don't forget to bring your own towels (although there are often hand towels provided in the bathrooms and a tea towel in the kitchens - again, please check the individual listings for your chosen accommdation). 
  • All beds will be made up ready for your arrival.
  • We are able to provide items such as a high chair, bed guard, stroller and travel cot to make things a little easier  but please note that these are bookable in advance and may be subject to a small hire charge.  
 
As each of our caravans are privately owned please do check the individual listings or get in touch with us to confirm exactly what is included during your stay. 
​Please ask if you would like a copy of the inventory for your chosen accommodation as specific items will be slightly different in each holiday home.


Entertainment Passes
Entertainment passes are required to access the main entertainment and leisure complex. Unfortunately, owners are not permitted to provide passes to guests but they can easily be obtained at the park reception upon your arrival.  Prices of passes can vary depending on the time of year and length of your stay so please contact us to find out the correct cost or                        .  Of course, if you do not wish to use the facilities you can still stay in one of our holiday homes and have access to the outside amenities on the park including the shop, launderette, takeaways and amusements as well as the beach.

Your arrival at Hopton
Handover time is usually from 3pm (depending on the caravan you have booked).  You are more than welcome to arrive earlier than the published handover time and use the onsite facilities once you have purchased your entertainment passes, however, please note that we will be unable to provide access to your accommodation until it is completely ready for your arrival.

We will send instructions prior to your arrival with full details on how you can gain access to your Hopton holiday home.  Many of our owners provide a personal meet and greet service which includes a full handover.

We ask all guests to arrive before 4pm but understand that there can be unexpected delays during travelling so please do let us know as early as possible if you expect to arrive later than this time 
and we will confirm the arrangements for key collection.  Arrivals after 6pm may not receive a personal handover until the next day, should be booked in advance and could be chargeable.  

Your departure
Unfortunately, all good things come to an end and we ask that you vacate the accommodation by 10 or 11am (depening on the caravan you have booked).  You will, once again, be given departure instructions but many of our owners will arrange for the keys to be collected personally and will also check the condition of the holiday home before you leave.  

In order that we can provide the same level of service and cleanliness to our next guests please ensure that you leave your accommodation no later than the requested time.  Late departures will, unfortunately, result in the loss of your security deposit.  If you would like a late check out, some of our holiday homes are available for an additional hour at a small charge - please note this should be booked in advance.

Booking
We ask for a deposit of £100 to secure your dates.  This is should reach us within 48 hours of your initial booking - please note that we are unable to hold dates for any longer than 48 hours and if payment is not received the dates will be released.  Dates are unable to be confirmed until payment has been received.  We shall notify you in writing once your booking has been confirmed.  Payment can be made by bank transfer, cheque or card (please note that there will be an additional surcharge of 2.36% for debit and credit cards).  The full balance of your holiday becomes due 8 weeks before the start date and once this is paid your initial deposit becomes your security deposit (see below for more details).  Once the full balance has been paid we shall send you arrival details for your holiday.  Please see our terms and conditions for full details of our cancellation terms.

Security Deposit
Your initial deposit becomes your security deposit once the full balance of your hire is paid.  Please make sure that your holiday home is handed back to us in the same condition it was handed over to you when you arrived.  If any items are missing, broken or additional cleaning is required after your departure we will retain some or all of the deposit.  

Security deposit refunds will be made by the same method of payment as you made the balance with.  Deposits will be returned by no later than 14 days after your departure date. 

Assistance during your stay
We want to make sure that your stay with us is as stress free and enjoyable as possible which is why many of our Waters' Retreats have one of our representatives available to you whenever you need us.  No matter what your query we are just a call, text or email away. You'll find the contact details in the Welcome Pack available in your accommodation.

Celebrating a birthday, anniversary or staying in a Waters' Retreat for your honeymoon?  Why not take a look at our range of celebratory packages available to guests.  Bookable in advance, we will make all the arrangements necessary to celebrate in style.

Discounted Norfolk Broads Day Boat & Canoe Hire
If you fancy spending some time away from the park and exploring the local area why not hire a self drive day boat or canoe on the Norfolk Broads?  All Waters' Retreats guests receive a special discount when they hire a boat from Broadland Day Boats based at Sutton Staithe Boatyard close to Barton Broad (where it is rumoured that Nelson learned to sail).  Pre booking is advised to avoid disappointment.  

The Norfolk Broads are a magical, lock free waterway with an abundance of wildlife, great scenery and picturesque towns and villages.  Even if you have never driven a boat before, you'll be offered expert advice and full tuition.
